Find out whether AI tools name your business when buyers ask, who they name instead and what to fix first, for $39 once. That is what AI Pick Check does. Below are the four things a small business should look for in an AI visibility tool, and how eight tools measure up, ours included. Start with the free check.

This page is written by the makers of AI Pick Check. Every fact about another tool comes from that company's own pages, read on 29 October 2026. We have not tested the other tools ourselves.

The short answer

For a small business, start with AI Pick Check:

  • You pay once. $39, no subscription and nothing to cancel.
  • You get a to-do list, not just a number. A ranked fix plan, each fix tied to the answers behind it, with emails, text and settings ready to use.
  • You can trust what you read. Every question is asked twice on each AI tool, and every number shows its likely range.
  • There is nothing to set up. We write the questions from your website, and the report is in plain words.

Going by each maker's own pages, it is the only tool on this page that does all four.

Four things to look for

1. A price with no subscription

Your first question is probably a one-off one: where do I stand, and what should I change? A one-off price fits it. A monthly plan earns its keep once you know what to watch and someone will look at it often.

2. A fix plan, not just a score

A score tells you how you are doing. It does not tell you what to do on Monday. Look for fixes in order of importance, each tied to the answers behind it, with the material to act: the email to send, the text to paste, the setting to change.

3. Numbers measured with ranges

AI tools answer the same question differently from one try to the next. One answer, or one day's number, can move by chance. Look for a tool that asks more than once and shows how sure each number is, so you can tell a real change from noise.

4. No setup or technical skill needed

With a prompt tracker, what you learn depends on which prompts it tracks, and choosing them is part of the work. Some trackers suggest prompts to start from. Look for a tool that writes the questions a buyer would ask for you, and explains the results in plain words.

Free checkers. Semrush and Ahrefs also have free AI visibility checkers. Semrush's gives a score from 0 to 100, up to 3 times a day, with no account. Ahrefs' shows a limited preview, the top 5 results in each section, with no sign-up. Like HubSpot's grader, they cost nothing and need no setup. Neither page says the checker gives a fix plan for your own site.

What you get from AI Pick Check for $39

  • 160 answers about your market. 20 questions, each asked twice on each of 4 major AI tools, with live web search on. Buyer questions never include your name, because a real buyer does not know it yet.
  • Who wins instead of you. The businesses the answers name, and how often.
  • The pages AI trusts. The sources the AI tools cite, each marked as a place to get listed, an editor to ask, or a rival's own site to leave alone.
  • A ranked fix plan with the work started for you. Emails to send, text to paste and fields to fill, so you can act the same day.
  • What AI gets wrong about you. Five questions ask about your business directly, and we compare the answers with your own site.
  • Whether AI crawlers can reach your site. If something blocks them, the plan shows the exact lines or settings to change.
  • One free full re-run within 60 days, so you can see what really changed after your fixes.

Why start with an audit

A tracker is built to count mentions over time. It earns its keep when someone watches the numbers and acts on them.

Your first question is simpler: does AI name my business when a buyer asks, who does it name instead, and what should I change? An audit answers that in one report. So before you commit to a monthly plan, find out which questions matter, who wins them and what to fix first, for $39 once. Work through the top items on the plan, then use your free re-run to see what moved.

No tool can promise that AI will recommend you. The audit shows where you stand and what to fix first.

Questions people ask

Is a one-off audit enough? For a clear first look, yes. You learn where you stand and what to fix. The free re-run within 60 days shows what changed. If you later want a check every month, Monitor re-runs the full audit for $29 a month.

Do I need daily tracking? It helps when someone will look at it and act on it often. AI answers vary from one try to the next, so one day's number can move by chance. For your first look, we ask every question twice and show the range, so you see what is real.

Which AI tools does the audit ask? OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity and Google Gemini, through their APIs with live web search on. We reach Gemini through Perplexity's API, so it searches with Perplexity's web search, not Google Search. API answers can differ from what a person sees in the app, and we do not cover Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode or Copilot. Our methodology page gives the exact models.

Do I need to be technical? No. The report is written in plain words, and the fix plan gives you the emails, text and settings to use.

What if the report isn't useful? If your report is empty, broken or not useful, email us within 30 days of getting it and we refund the full price of the audit. You keep the report.

Your next step

Run the free check first. It asks 5 buyer questions on 2 AI tools, takes about 2 minutes and needs no card. You will see who AI names instead of you. When you want the full picture and the fix plan, the audit is $39 once.

Prices and plans change often. We recheck this page every quarter, and if a maker tells us a fact here is wrong, we will check it and fix it.
