A free grader gives you a score. But the question that costs you customers is a different one: when a buyer asks AI for what you sell, are you named, and who is named instead? Our free check answers that in about 2 minutes, and the $39 audit tells you exactly what to fix. Run the free check.
The short answer
Three reasons to start with the AI Pick Check free check:
- It asks like a buyer. 5 questions a buyer would ask, never with your name in them, because a new customer does not know your name yet.
- It shows who wins instead. You see the businesses AI names in your place.
- It leads to a fix plan. When you want the full picture, the audit gives you a ranked list of fixes for $39 once, with no subscription.
HubSpot says its grader is for marketing leaders, brand managers, SEO professionals and content strategists. It scores how AI describes your brand when asked about it.
What you get, free and for $39
The free check, about 2 minutes, no card:
- 5 buyer questions on 2 major AI tools, with web search on.
- A first score, and the businesses AI named instead of you.
The full audit, $39 once:
- 160 answers. 20 questions, each asked twice on each of 4 major AI tools, with live web search on. Every number shows its likely range.
- Who wins instead of you, and how often.
- The pages AI trusts. The sources the AI tools cite, each marked as a place to get listed, an editor to ask, or a rival's own site to leave alone.
- A ranked fix plan with the work started for you. Emails to send, text to paste and fields to fill.
- What AI gets wrong about you. Five questions ask about your business directly, and we compare the answers with your own site.
- Whether AI crawlers can reach your site, with the exact lines or settings to change if something blocks them.
- One free full re-run within 60 days, so you can see what really changed.

| What it asks | 5 buyer questions that never name your business | About your brand by name |
| AI tools | 2: OpenAI, and Gemini through Perplexity's search, each asked once with web search on | ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. Its FAQ names the OpenAI model as GPT-5.4 mini |
| What you enter | Your website and email | Company name, location, products or services and industry. HubSpot says no account is needed, and that you complete a form to see the full report |
| What you get | A first score and who gets named instead of you | A score out of 100 in five parts: sentiment (up to 40 points), presence quality, brand recognition, share of voice and market competition, with a written explanation. HubSpot's AEO page adds a sample of recommendations |
| Time | About 2 minutes | Under two minutes, per HubSpot's page |
| Next step | The full audit with a ranked fix plan, $39 once | HubSpot AEO, $50 a month, or included in Marketing Hub Pro and Enterprise, per HubSpot's pages |
HubSpot's AEO page describes the grader, there called the AEO Grader, as running set questions for you: ChatGPT and Gemini answer from their training data, and Perplexity from live search. The grader's own page mentions only training data. Our free check asks both AI tools with web search on. Our methodology page explains how, including the fact that Gemini is reached through Perplexity's search, not Google Search.
Why a buyer test comes first
A brand score tells you what AI says once it already knows your name. Your next customer does not know your name yet. They ask "who does this near me?", and AI names someone. If that someone is a competitor, a good brand score does not change that.
That is why our free check never puts your name in the question. It shows whether you get named, and who gets named instead. Then the audit tells you why, from the pages the AI tools cite, and what to change first, for $39 once rather than a monthly fee.
The free check is a first look: 5 questions asked once on 2 AI tools, so its ranges are wide, and the report says so. Our post on why we ask every question twice explains why the full audit asks every question twice.
No tool can promise that AI will recommend you. The audit shows where you stand and what to fix first.
Questions people ask
Why does the free check need my website? So it can understand what you sell and write the buyer questions for you. You do not have to think them up.
Is a one-off audit enough? For a clear first look, yes. The free re-run within 60 days shows what changed after your fixes. If you want a check every month later, Monitor re-runs the full audit for $29 a month.
Do I need to be technical? No. The report uses plain words, and each fix comes with the emails, text or settings to use.
What if the report isn't useful? If your report is empty, broken or not useful, email us within 30 days of getting it and we refund the full price of the audit. You keep the report.
Your next step
Start with the free check. It takes about 2 minutes and needs no card. You will see whether AI names you to a buyer, and who it names instead. When you want the fix plan, the audit is $39 once.
